Book Review 5 out of 5 stars! Set to release tomorrow! (July 31, 2024) "You're gonna die on this farm." First line of the book and words that haunt Eli Nelson's mind on a daily basis. Eli's trying to stay above water but with a large debt hanging over his head he may as well be a drowned man! He needs a lucky break not a dead cow that could add on more numbers to the debt. Only this cow wasn't killed by the normal predators that take up residence around the small town. With the help of a Professor Mackenzie from the local university the mystery may be solved. Or are the rumors and town history of supernatural happenings actually true? Is it the famed "Beast of Bray Road"?! Eli's skill sets didn't include fighting monsters!  "Survival and cruelty sometimes go hand-in-hand." - Mackenzie This is my second read from this author, and I loved it! I enjoy the writing style and how it may seem to start out slow, but you find yourself alread...

Bringing with her a gift for the town that will prove to be Seven Sisters' greatest challenge. How will this snowy night play out? And will anyone be able to survive until the sun rises? "No one will choose for her." - Val I was rather blown away by this read and devoured it in the course of two days! Would have read it all in one day but apparently you need some sleep before the day job. Absolutely loved the plotline of the story, the horror, and how it...

Book Review 4 out of 5 stars! "The things we do for love."  No matter how hard you try to not get involved with dating it never works. We are creatures who desire companionship even if things may have changed and the dating game just got a little more dangerous. . . This was a very short, cozy gothic story! About humans and "Hungries" aka zombies trying to coexist with one another. One such women is trying to keep the sickness from spreading while battling the feelings of loneliness. Having set up a boundary to not date but despite that she still craves someone to love. I enjoyed this interesting read and how the POV was in the second person. Intrigued by how it constantly said "you" and made it feel like it was your POV. The POV we were given was understood to be in a woman's body but no name which was a unique twist as well. I loved the fast pace of the short read, the coziness of it, and how it ended. If the author wanted to, she could write another...
